青年作曲家，实验电子唱作人，歌手 Wei Meng is a composer and experimental electronic musician. His music is mostly based on modern classical music and fused with various electronic music styles. His music showcases academic music influences and his pioneer spirit. He is always exploring new possibilities in electronic music. He has a bachelor’s degree in composition from Shanghai Conservatory and a master’s degree from Indiana University. After completing his master’s, he continued to pursue interactive electronic music in Paris at IRCAM electronic music center. He has performed in both US and Europe, including at the MCS Music Festival in Michigan and Academy Music Festival in Paris. He is also the first Asian composer to receive the Frederic Mompou Prize for composition in Spain. In 2018, he had opportunity to share his music with a wider audience on the first Chinese electronic reality show for producers, ‘Rave Now’.
