The soprano Gemma Bertagnolli has developed an international reputation as one of the most accomplished singers of Baroque and Classical Music of her generation, although her range also extends to Mozart, Bel Canto, Classical and Romantic works, including a recording on Stradivarius of Songs by Respighi.

She is a busy recording artist and 2010 saw the release of Handel's Venus & Adonis with Zefiro , Christmas at San Marco with Vocal Concert Dresden (Berlin Classics-Edel) and Passionate Baroque Arias with Ensemble Cordia (Brilliant Classics). Most recently released is a disc of Sacred Works by Alessandro Scarlatti with Sara Mingardo and Concerto de' Cavalieri directed by Marcello di Lisa on cpo CD.

In the March 2011 edition of GRAMOPHONE, David Vickers praises the "empathetic singing" of Sara Mingardo and Gemma Bertagnolli, and that "the latter's dramatic 'Ad te clamamus' is some of the finest singing I have heard from her."
