"The Heart is The Place" is the Goldrushs second record on City Slang and the first proper album since "Don t Bring Me Down". Last years CD named "Ozona" was more or less a compilation of studio sessions and EPs that came out in the UK and the US, it gained a lot of good press feedback and left a lot of excited people longing for the next real album. On their tourdates with Calexico and Nada Surf the made a lot of fans and sold more CDs than we were even able to ship to them in time. Goldrush also curate the infamous TRUCK Festival in Oxford which is hailed as the best Indie-Rock Festival in Britain. This album is the end of GOLDRUSH as we know them, a stunning record that does warm our hearts, makes us feel at home where it hurts the most. It sounds like they just recorded it in an instant, the energy and joy you can hear throughout every note but also the doubts and the sleepless nights. ... what else do we want from a record?
